During the pandemic, like most people, I was confined to my house. Our mission happened to be during our first year of a two-year assignment in Brazil! With it being one of the top three countries with the highest cases of Covid, the rules on quarantine were strict. As an introvert, being home was not an issue but boredom was. It was during those quarantined days that the desire to be digitally creative was born. For months and months, I researched, planned, researched some more, and eventually my little Etsy Shop became a reality! Creating designs was something I could do from my couch anywhere in the world!
I am not quick at anything, so it has taken almost two years to finally get my website up and running, but at last, here I am blogging!
The very first design I created was this one-It’s A Beautiful Journey. I still remember way back in 2020 when I sent out this design to a few friends to see if it would work on their crafting machines. I will never forget when my friend sent me a photo of my design on a tumbler she had made! I jumped for joy in my tiny apartment! At that moment I knew the joy of creating something that inspired others to be creative.
That design is on my laptop as a reminder of that moment. Every time I open up my computer, I am reminded of why I do what I do.
I love this phrase because it is full of hope. Life is full of highs and lows, of great excitement and the mundane. But as a person of faith, there is the underlying sense that it is a beautiful journey because of the One who orders our steps and gives us the gift of life!
