There’s No Place Like Home For The Holidays…

This is our little tin roof house here in East Africa.

For the last couple of years, in my free time, I have been working on growing my Etsy Shop. It began during the pandemic when our family was quarantined in our tiny rental apartment in Brazil. I  was longing for a creative outlet and digital designing was something I could do from the comfort of my couch! In the beginning, the goal was to raise funds to supplement our missionary funds. Discouragement set in when I realised I was pouring all my free time into something that wasn’t even making a profit!

I knew I wanted to continue being creative. I knew that I wanted to gather together an online community of like-minded crafters. A few months ago while I was rebranding my shop something just clicked and I realised I wanted to use my shop to craft for a cause.

Around Thanksgiving time when my husband and I found out we would be spending our first Christmas without any of our Kiddos, crafting for a cause became clear. The passion to use the funds from my Etsy Shop to set up a travel scholarship for missionary kids was born because there’s no place like home for the holidays!  You can read more of this story here.

I hope browsing my shop will inspire your creativity. I would love you to be part of my online community for faith-based crafters and maybe even download a design or two and be part of crafting for a cause!

Lou
